Crime Report - Apr 24 to Mar 25

The Crime Stats for March 2025 have just been published. Here are some insights for the 12 month period from April 2024 to March 2025.

Overall Crime Rate

The total number of crimes reported in March 2025 was 4,906 which is the highest monthly figure since October 2024 (5,610). The trend for the total number of crimes reported is downward for this period.

Crime Numbers from Apr 24 to Mar 25

If you compare the population with the number of crimes reported over this period these are the top 10 Wards for "Population per Crime". The top ward is Lawrence Hill where there is 1 crime reported for every 3.6 people.

At the other end of the table we can see that "St George Troopers Hill" has 1 crime reported for every 25.6 people.

Violence and Sexual Offences

The category with the highest rate of reporting is for "Violence and Sexual Offences", followed by "Anti-social behaviour".

Southville is often thought of as being "posher" than Bedminster, but when you look at the figures for these 2 wards:
