# What is Tony Dyer talking to JBP Associates about?

[JBP Associates](https://jbp.co.uk/bristol/?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) provide "a full service PR, communications, stakeholder engagement, political affairs, marketing and creative consultancy".

Tony Dyer (Bristol City Council Leader) had [two meetings with JBP](https://www.bristol.gov.uk/files/documents/10939-leaders-diary-april-2026?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) in April 2026 and one meeting in March 2026.

None of the "Lunch with JBP" items were registered in the "[Gifts & Hospitality Register](https://democracy.bristol.gov.uk/mgDeclarationSubmission.aspx?UID=32620&HID=721&FID=0&HPID=36057162&ref=bristol-uncovered.uk)":

Looking at BCC Spending (up until 31/03/2026) nothing has been spent with JBP since the Covid times:

In October 2024 a Freedom of Information request was submitted in relation to JBP work with the Council: "[Nicola Beech, JBP, and the Bristol Cable](https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/nicola%5Fbeech%5Fjbp%5Fand%5Fthe%5Fbristol?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk)"

It took BCC more than 2 months to divulge that any relevant e-mails had been "Marvined" (aka Deleted).

Nicola Beech was a [strong defender of the Mayoral system](https://www.bristolideas.co.uk/read/nicola-beech/index.html?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) and [stepped down](https://www.bristol247.com/news-and-features/news/another-cabinet-member-leave-city-hall/?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) as a Councillor in 2023.
