# Tony Dyer needs a better calendar

Bristol City Council publish the Leaders Diary on a monthly basis. They published Tony's Diary for February 2026 on 30th March 2026.

Why does it take a whole month to publish the Leaders Diary?

It definitely isn't because of the rigorous proof reading that takes place, as can be seen from [February's Diary](https://www.bristol.gov.uk/files/documents/10745-leaders-diary-february-2026?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) which shows "Wednesday 4th February" as being "Wednesday **5th** February".

What other mistakes are made in this important public document?

I corrected the mistake in my data load, and this is what Tony was up to in February 2026.

There was one meeting related to Temple Quarter. Perhaps they were talking about affordable housing?

Tony did declare the Dinner event on the [Gifts and Hospitality Register](https://democracy.bristol.gov.uk/mgDeclarationSubmission.aspx?UID=32620&HID=721&FID=0&HPID=35643566&ref=bristol-uncovered.uk).

I am surprised that a posh dinner where the drinks flow only comes in at a £40 value. Perhaps they had a Deliveroo from Wetherspoons.

What was discussed with the French Ambassador?

[Great Western Cities](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great%5FWestern%5FCities?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) is a collaborative initiative launched in February 2015 by the cities of Bristol, Cardiff and Newport, to improve cooperation in the area as a city region, and to develop economic and environmental partnerships. I cannot find much about the activities of this quango, apart from an initial [flurry of activity](https://www.metrodynamics.co.uk/blog/2016/2/12/great-western-cities-one-step-closer-to-realising-britains-western-powerhouse?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) in 2016.

The [UN Forum of Mayors](https://unece.org/forumofmayors?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) is a United Nations body that enhances coherence and complementarity between the local, regional and global levels in addressing common challenges related to sustainable urban development and governance, contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

The [British Business Investor Roadshow](https://www.westofengland-ca.gov.uk/news/firms-seek-200m-at-bristol-investor-showcase/?ref=bristol-uncovered.uk) at City Hall featured businesses presenting directly to a panel of leading investors, venture capital firms and industry heavyweights with the power to back their growth plans.
