There are 7,551 "White Transit Vans" in the BS PostCode area (and 1 Bristol 400)

The DVLA publish data on MOT Tests. I have analysed the data for MOT Tests in the "BS" postcode area for vehicles tested between 2021 and 2023. If a vehicle did not have an MOT Test taken in Bristol during 2023 then it is marked as "Inactive". New cars do not usually have an MOT for the first 3 years, so these vehicles will not appear in these reports. You can view all of the reports here.
Summary for Active Vehicles
Petrol Cars are the largest group of vehicles, and white is the most popular vehicle colour.

Fuel
Electric and Hybrid vehicles only account for just over 3% of active vehicles, but this number should increase as new vehicles purchased in the last few years start to feed into these figures in the future.

There is one vehicle with Fuel Cells:

Which has had 5 MOT's in the period (2021 to 2023)

Of the 4,665 Electric Vehicles, the most popular manufactures is Nissan

With the post popular Electric Model by far being the Nissan Leaf

The oldest Electric vehicle is an MG B, which was first used in 1979 and has only done 1,107 miles in that period. This car must have been converted to Electric at some point

82 of the Electric vehicles are motorbikes, with the most popular manufacturer being NIU (28)

with the most popular model being the NIU M Plus

MOT's for Electric vehicles are increasing year on year.

White Vans
Of the 11,691 Ford Transit Vans, 7,551 (65%) of them live up to the stereotype of "White Van Man". There are good reasons for White being the most popular colour, but the MOT data does not provide any information about the gender of the driver so I cannot provide any information on the Male/Female split for White Transit Van drivers. There is one pink transit van, but I am not going to assume this has any correlation with the gender of the driver.

Vehicle Numbers
Based on the MOT data the number of vehicles in the BS area have risen each year between 2001 and 2003. This chart shows the number of "Passed" MOT Tests for each year.

MOT's for Electric vehicles are rising at a higher rate.

MOT's for Hybrid vehicles are more numerous than for Electric vehicles.

Luxury Vehicles
There are 3,736 "luxury" cars in the BS area from these brands

With these models being the most popular

The 43 Electric vehicles in this category are these models
