SBLN - Engagement Results Finally Published

SBLN - Engagement Results Finally Published
Junction of Walter Street and Coronation Road

After months of trying, I have finally got the comments made as part of the SBLN Engagement Survey that took place last year.

This article provides some analysis of the 6,084 comments received, but you can explore the data yourself on BU Reports (look for the SBLN button).

Here are the ranked suggestions which were chosen from a provided list in the survey.

And here are the categories that people assigned to their comments:

Who made the comments?

5,747 (94%) of the comments were made about locations inside the SBLN.

337 comments were made about locations outside of the SBLN, the vast majority being from areas just outside of the SBLN.

3 comments were made about locations in Long Ashton, which I have excluded from the report as they are outside of Bristol. There was also 1 comment for a location in India from someone who was just messing around.

The comments from inside the SBLN came from these wards:

Southville

Windmill Hill

Bedminster

Southville Proposals

Here are some visualisations for the proposed changed in Southville

It should be noted that the change to make Cooperage Lane one way was not called out in the SBLN Proposals, where it was actually stated that "Access to Cooperage Lane remains unchanged". This was a mistake by BCC and it is possible there are other mistakes in the published proposals.

You can read all of the comments and see their locations on maps on BU Reports (look for the SBLN button).
